This is
Maromas. It is "40 acres of meadow and forest in one of the most pristine wooded areas in Central Connecticut" and a habitat for wildlife -- which as we all know is already incredibly scarce. Plain and simple: The Army wants it for a 273,000 square foot training center.
Not only is this unacceptable for anyone who cares about nature and wildlife but its a pretty heavy load for a friend of mine who's spent decades appreciating this land. Please read this
